Christie Brooks – Kindergarten Teacher

Christie is a lifetime resident of Swain County, NC, where she has spent the majority of her life. Christie is the mother of six amazing children. Jessica (29), Ashley (25), Katie (22), Riley (19), Reese (18), Kennedy (16) and two grandchildren Avery and Lakelyn. Christie enjoys being a mother, supporting her children in all their life’s adventures, the beach, Fontana Lake, and any and all sports. Christie brings 23 years of Education experience to Mountain Discovery, including PreK, Special Education, and Elementary Education. She began her Educational studies at Lees McRae College where she played collegiate Volleyball for three years until she transferred to Western Carolina University. There, she received  a bachelor’s degree in Birth-Kindergarten.  Christie is very excited and grateful to be a part of MDCS and add to a wonderful and energetic atmosphere.
